Aragon Hydrogen FoundationProject Coordinator

Fundación para el Desarrollo de las Nuevas Tecnologías del Hidrógeno en Aragón (FHa) is a private non-profit organization promoted by the Regional Government of Aragón. FHa supports the regional strategy for the H2, production, storage, transport and use for producing renewable fuels. Decarbonizing the economy by low-carbon fuels along the whole value chain is the vision of FHa, as well as in proof-of-concept and TRL-increase projects.

Gesellschaft zur Foerderung der angewandten Forschung e.V. (FhG) is Europe's biggest organization for applied research, and currently operates a total of 75 institutes and research units. FhG shapes the innovation process in Germany and drives forward the development of key technologies. Within the Fraunhofer organisation, Fraunhofer IFAM as well as Fraunhofer IWS will be involved.

The Agfa-Gevaert Group has four focused business groups with one focussing on novel materials for the hydrogen market. In cooperation with VITO (the Flemish institute for technological research), AGFA developed flat sheet separators for hydrogen production. Within the project Agfa will focus further on the separator development for other variants that can be used in the hydrogen economy.

Our innovation focuses on enhancements to system durability, efficiency, safety and total cost of ownership to help our customers improve the viability and scalability of green hydrogen technology. Within the HYPRAEL project, 3 Syensqo entities are involved to develop a new generation of diaphragm:
- Specialty Polymers Italy: identification, synthesis and characterisations of the most relevant polymer matrix as binder.
- Specialty Operations France: identification, synthesis and characterisations of additives to boost diaphragm properties.
- Rhodia Laboratoire du Futur France: Polymers and additives pre-screening phase in dense film configuration, aligned with our HYPRAEL partner Agfa.
